Monitor 1G and 10G Network

Segments with Fewer Tools

Today’s data center managers face a growing set of challenges – including the need to effectively monitor both 1G and 10G network segments. This trend is driving the need for organizations to invest in 10G monitoring devices; however, the reality is that they often have to rely on 1G monitoring tools due to budget constraints and existing investments.

Given this challenge, many organizations are finding ways to use the existing array of 1G tools to monitor both the 1G links as well as the 10G network infrastructure. What makes this possible is an aggregation and filtering solution.

APCON has recently advanced this technology by creating such a solution in a single chassis with a total density of 288 ports – six times the maximum port count currently achievable with other solutions.

Features

  • Highest port density available in a single chassis — 288 total ports
  • Highest port aggregation density available in a single chassis — 256 ports of 1G aggregation and 96 ports of 10G aggregation
  • Independent data and control planes
  • Rate conversion from 1G to 10G and from 10G to 1G
  • Supports thousands of active filters
