A global organization that manages mission-critical network environments for businesses and governments was in need of a new solution for a key customer. This customer, one of the United States’ largest state college systems – with 23 campuses, almost 450,000 students, and 48,000 faculty and staff – was experiencing growth in its network traffic, and sought a means for effectively managing it now and well into the future.

The college system outsources its data center management responsibilities to a facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. At this site, the data center team oversees all database administration, security management, 24-hour/7-day IT Service Center technical support, change control, and contract and SLA management for the data center itself.
