Industry leader in network visibility solutions opens new facility focused on data security
APCON, a leading provider of intelligent network monitoring and security solutions, celebrated the official opening of its regional center in Plano, Texas. Joining the ribbon cutting ceremony were members of the Plano Chamber of Commerce, local APCON employees, and colleagues from around the globe who were attending the APCON Summit 2017. The regional center is a 58,000 square-foot building located at the intersection of Coit Road and Mapleshade Lane.
"I am excited to open the new APCON regional center with world-class facilities," said Richard Rauch, president and CEO of APCON. "Texas is a natural fit for APCON's growth strategy because of the wealth of high-tech and network security professionals in the area. We are also partnering with local universities to nurture aspiring engineering talent."
"On behalf of the Plano Chamber of Commerce, I am proud to join APCON's CEO to inaugurate the regional center," said Tracy Bartholomew, director of membership development at the Plano Chamber of Commerce.
The new facility has enormous potential for APCON to grow and establish a long-term presence in Plano, and we are excited for their partnership with the Chamber.
The newly inaugurated regional center is not APCON's first foray into Texas. APCON, a Portland, Oregon based company, first entered the Texas region in 2011 with an office in Plano, but with rapid growth, the company quickly outgrew its space and relocated to Richardson.
With its new facility, APCON will be able to continue recruitment efforts and accommodate future hires. APCON's regional center is already well staffed with engineering, quality assurance, sales, marketing, information technology and human resource teams. The company expects to increase its headcount by an additional 35 percent in 2017.
