Application Analytics

APCON delivers complete data transparency, and that commitment now extends to applications. With the deployment of an APCON HyperEngine blade, a world of data analytics is available. With IntellaView Application Analytics (license required), this service acts as a hybrid of Application Filtering and NetFlow. Like Application Filtering, it identifies the Layer 7 protocol or application and category, and like NetFlow, it exports IPFIX data to a collector system.

Preserve detailed flow record data

Application Analytics can drop all traffic or forward traffic to destination ports – in addition to exporting IPFIX records. The sessions/flows are bidirectional, so data is collected and maintained for both the client (initiator) and the server (responder). Session/flow match-criteria is based on client and server IP addresses, TCP/UDP/SCTP port numbers, and IP protocol.

Ultra high-speed packet processing

With up to 400G processing capability, the IntellaView HyperEngine can effectively monitor every packet in the high-speed data stream to remove duplicates and improve tool efficiency. It also enables duplicate matching across Layers 3 and 4 headers and payload, and supports a large, configurable window size of up to 500ms.
