Product information

Today's escalating security threats continue to drive network operations to incorporate more inline security devices such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and firewalls. Whenever any networking tool is connected in line, another possible point of failure is added. If the tool fails, it could result in significant network traffic loss and downtime.

The IntellaFlex Optical Bypass TAP provides five fail-safe 1G / 10G optical bypass TAPs for inline security appliances as well as support for Load Balancing, appliance redundancy, and advanced network monitoring.

Maximize network resilience

The IntellaFlex Optical Bypass TAP provides five fail-safe 1 / 10G optical bypass TAPs for inline security appliances as well as support for Load Balancing, appliance redundancy, and advanced network monitoring.

Load Balancing supports redundancy

Protecting today's network requires advanced security systems such as Intrusion Prevention (IPS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), or WAN Acceleration appliances; however, the complexity and maintenance of these systems can lower network availability. The IntellaFlex Optical Bypass TAP maintains high network availability by providing optical bypass when inline systems crash, degrade in performance, require security updates, or need maintenance.

High-density bypass TAP

The five network bypass TAPs can connect up to seven inline appliances including Load Balancing and support for appliance redundancy. For example, a network could load balance traffic across multiple IPS security appliances, and if one system is down, the IntellaFlex Optical Bypass TAP will automatically redistribute traffic across the remaining systems providing IPS appliance redundancy.
